Our Wymondham based Forest School is one of the only outdoor settings in the UK where Babies can thrive in Nature alongside their older peers.
Promoting the role of nature which affords very young children, inseparable instinctive opportunities to explore and test their own theories.
All outdoors. An inspirational child led approach to early years education. Kindness, compassion, inclusivity and diversity.
Our Babies and Children are immersed in nature and learn hands on skills. Everything is meaningful and experiential.
We are environmentally conscientious and future facing in our pedagogy.
We teach children how to plant, care for, harvest and ultimately eat and cook with their own fruits and vegetables in their own plots on site.
Join our setting and a likeminded community. Enjoy family nature events and networks. Take part in family breakfasts and get to know other parents/carers in setting. Join our popular holiday club, make new friends and learn new skills
A note from the founder, Victoria..
Hello, and thank you for visiting our site. A wonderful team and I have worked incredibly hard to bring you this unique setting. I hope you fall in love with it as we and many other families have too.
“For Life” represents the image of regular time spent in nature at an early age, impacting us as adults (for life), being at ease in nature, consequentially having healthier balanced lifestyles, which are arguably more connected to the planet.
I align myself with the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” I believe it takes a sense of belonging within a team and sense of community, to innovate and inspire one another as leaders.
In 2007 I had been put off the traditional nursery experience by their lack of space, lack of continuous access to the outdoors, and the clear room divides between “ages and ability”. Even the Practitioners are segregated into small rooms, by roles and responsibilities for age/ability groups. It struck me as isolating and uninspiring.
I was searching for a “wholesomeness” which wasn’t readily available. As such I found myself leaving a corporate career to create what you see today, a like minded wholesome community, inspired by being a parent and wanting more, wanting better, for the next generation.
