Forest School for Toddlers – Nature Play for 2 Years+

Leverets (toddlers): Curious movers discovering independence and connection.

The toddler years are full of curiosity, wonder, and wild energy – and Forest School is the perfect place to nurture it all. Forget bouncing off the walls – energy gets used up in the best way here!

At Forest School For Life, we create safe, exciting outdoor learning spaces where your child can climb, explore, create, and grow through nature-based play.

Why Forest School is perfect for the toddler years

At ages 2 and up, children are developing rapidly – physically, socially, and emotionally. Our unique space supports this growth through unhurried, child-led exploration, offering freedom within safe boundaries and endless opportunities to build confidence and independence.

At forest school, our toddlers don’t bounce off the walls – because we don’t have any! Instead, they use up their energy in constructive and healthy ways. The fresh air and natural daylight settles most children into a natural circadian rhythm, meaning they sleep better throughout the night with regular visits.

What to expect for your toddler

We offer a rhythm that toddlers thrive on: a warm welcome, shared circle time, open play, and closing reflection – all in a woodland setting.

On a typical day, children might:

• Build dens

• Splash in puddles and climb on logs

• Create nature art

• Watch and learn about the natural environment

• Enjoy telling and hearing stories and songs

• An introduction to tools

Each day is different at Forest School, and we try and use as much of our natural setting as possible. However, to get an idea of what an ‘average day’ might look like, click the link below.
