Your Child
Your exciting journey begins with an introduction to our setting and our curriculum. We pride ourselves on our parent/carer partnership commitment and look forward to working with you along the way. We have a three day graduated settling in process to ensure your child is ready to say goodbye and start their journey with us.

We have a team of skilled and experienced Practitioners from traditional schoolteachers to baby specialists to inspire and protect your child, all advocates for outdoor education and the forest school philosophy.
Did you know that early childhood development forms the most vital 1001 days of our lives and the impact will last a lifetime? What we do now and what we make available for Children in now days, is an investment in their futures, it affects their life chances and the adult they will become.
We strive to stretch and challenge in the most effective ways at forest school for life. If a child needs a little extra support or you have concerns about their rate of development, don’t worry, we can support you with an expert for reassurances and support plans. Our environment is rich with natural learning opportunities and curiosities.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the statutory framework for Early Years education in England. It is the framework every provider follows as a minimum standard in the UK. At the end of the EYFS which is completed by the end of a Child’s Reception year at school, most children should have achieved their “early learning goals”. Alongside the EYFS, a non-statutory guidance, Development Matters is available for guidance.
We are advocates of deferring School placements to extend a Child’s play based woodland adventures. We believe that 4 is far too young to start formalising education and as much research highlights, at the age of 7, children can be taught more effectively as their brains are better equipped to learn in a traditional classroom. At forest school for life, we look to Finland whose education system is seen as world class.
