What are the costs of forest school?
We know that working out the cost of childcare can be a daunting task. For this reason, we have tried to make the process simpler for you with the following document. The highlights of this document are outlined below.
Opening hours
We are open Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm. We are an “all day” setting, which means you may collect earlier but will still be charged the same fees.
We are open all year round 50 weeks of the year, closed for bank holidays and usually the two weeks over Christmas.
Unfortunately, we do not offer wrap around care for school age children.
We do operate a holiday club for children of all ages.
Fees
These are charged monthly in advance; your total annual cost is worked out and split into 12 equal payments. We do not charge for consumables.
Each month you will be charged the same irrespective of the length of the month or the quantity of sessions attended.
Our fees are reviewed annually in April. Families will be given at least 6 weeks’ notice in writing to inform them of any changes, and given the opportunity to discuss their options with Management. Where a time lapse has occurred between the point of enquiry and your child’s start date, families should check that the information shared about funding and fees remains current so that any applicable charges can be checked / finalised before the childcare arrangement (contract) is formalised.
Vouchers
We accept several different Childcare Employers Vouchers, please ask if you need us to register with your employer’s choice of service. Do be mindful that Vouchers can arrive two weeks after you have processed your payment, and this needs to be timely with your invoice due date.
Funded placements
We accept 15 hours and 30 hours (Working Families Entitlement) Government funded hours a week for Children aged from 9 months – 4 year olds.
How to sign up
We operate a waiting list, once your child’s placement has been confirmed, we charge £50 (non refundable) administrative fees to secure your placement. For funded only children, the fee will be returned in full within 6 weeks following the first day of attendance for early education. Where families have agreed a contract for more hours than the early education entitlement, the deposit will be returned when the contract is terminated, and any outstanding fees have been paid in full.
